Toronto Shooting Leaves One Dead in Mall Parking Lot

Toronto, ON — A man was fatally shot Saturday afternoon, February 7, 2026, in a mall parking lot near Rexdale Boulevard and Highway 27. Police say officers responding at approximately 3:31 p.m. found Nandakumar inside a white SUV with multiple gunshot wounds, including shots that struck the vehicle’s windshield. He was rushed to hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The Toronto Police Service Homicide and Missing Persons Unit is leading the investigation. Authorities believe the shooting was targeted. Witnesses reported seeing a suspect or suspects flee the area in a vehicle, though no descriptions have been released as of Sunday evening.
