Missing Man With Ties to Central Texas Found Dead in Tarrant County
A 22-year-old man with ties to Central Texas has been found dead in Tarrant County after being reported missing in the Fort Worth area, authorities and family members confirmed.
Elijah Lee of White Settlement, Texas, disappeared sometime between Wednesday and Thursday. His body was discovered Sunday evening, according to his mother, Gwen Lee, who shared the heartbreaking news with KWTX.
In an emotional Facebook post, Gwen Lee expressed her grief, saying her son had been suffering in ways the family did not fully understand. “He’s gone. He’s gone and he’s not coming back,” she wrote.
Gwen told KWTX that Elijah had stopped answering his phone, prompting concern. When family members checked his apartment on Saturday, they found the door open and discovered a troubling note inside suggesting he may have been a danger to himself. She also described some of his recent writings and artwork as “very dark,” adding that the severity of his struggles was not clear at the time.
Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding Elijah Lee’s death. The case remains under investigation as family and friends mourn the loss of a young life.
