PSNI Confirm Body Found in Lurgan Was Missing Mother-of-Two Caitlin Greene
Police in Northern Ireland have confirmed that the body of a woman found in Lurgan over the weekend is that of missing mother-of-two Caitlin Greene.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said the 24-year-old, also known as Caity, was last seen in the Derry Street area of Lurgan on Saturday, January 31. Following her disappearance, police issued several public appeals, urging local residents to assist with searches in the area.
On Saturday afternoon, February 7, officers confirmed that a woman’s body had been discovered in the Princes Street area of Lurgan, County Armagh. In an update released on Sunday evening, PSNI formally identified the deceased as Caitlin Greene.
Police have stated that her death is not being treated as suspicious. A post-mortem examination has since been completed.
In a statement, PSNI said: “A post-mortem examination has now concluded, and the death is not being treated as suspicious. Our thoughts are with Caitlin’s family at this sad time.”
Tributes have begun to emerge for the young mother as the local community comes to terms with the tragic outcome of the search.
